Matthew R. Marotta, Esq., joined Rotolo Karch Law in September 2017 after completing a criminal law clerkship in Warren County Superior Court with the Honorable H. Matthew Curry. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2017.
Matthew received his J.D. in May 2016 from Vermont Law School. While attending law Thnschool, Matthew worked on the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law where he served as Staff Editor and Web Committee member in 2014-2015 and as Production Editor in 2015-2016. Matthew also served as President of the school’s Basketball Cooperative from 2014 through 2016, and was a member of the Men’s Rugby Team, serving as Match Coordinator for 2014-2015, and as Vice President for 2015-2016.
Prior to entering law school, Matthew attended St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, pursuing a dual major in Risk Management and Insurance Finance. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in May 2012. Matthew was a member of the University’s Rugby Team and a volunteer with Play Rugby USA, an organization dedicated to teaching rugby skills to inner city youths.
In addition to his clerkship, Matthew served as a judicial ex-tern for the Honorable Michael A. Shipp of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey from August through December 2015. During this ex-ternship, Matthew worked on a variety of criminal and civil legal matters. He also worked as a law clerk with the firm of Kelly, Kelly, Marotta & Lafferty, LLC, of Maywood, NJ during the summers of 2014 and 2015.
